The Fairfax Saxophone Quartet will showcase its crowd-pleasing versatility at a free performance at Oakton Church of the Brethren on Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. The hour and a half program, entitled “Sort of Greek,” will include the music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hadzidakis, Pedro Iturralde, and other delightful selections and will feature guest artist Amy LaCivita on piano. James Francis, Stanley Shelton, Brian Cole and Laura Chubb comprise the Fairfax Saxophone Quartet, which is now in its 30th year. Throughout the Washington area and beyond, the Fairfax Saxophone Quartet plays year-round as “Ambassadors of Good Will” for the highly acclaimed City of Fairfax Band.
No tickets or reservations are required for this free concert. Donations will be accepted for the outreach programs of Oakton Church of the Brethren.
