BNP is a non-profit organization that functions to feed those in need in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, DC. They are located at 337 North Carolina Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003.

Bob Evans Food Donation
Through the generosity of Bob Evans Restaurants, we have begun collecting donations of extra food. These are delivered to BNP.
Fleming’s Steakhouse Food Donation
Through the generosity of Fleming’s Steakhouse in McLean, we have begun collecting donations of extra food. These are delivered to BNP.
Walk to Support BNP – May 2015
The Action Reflection Committee thanks everyone who participated in the Walk for the Hungry on May 17th. Thank you to those who walked, those who donated, and those who prepared the noon meal. We raised $2,730.00 toward the plumbing and equipment updates needed by BNP.
Meat Canning Project – May 2015
Each year, the Southern Pennsylvania and Mid-Atlantic Districts of the Church of the Brethren join together to can meat for distribution to local food pantries and internationally.

As part of the broader distribution effort, Oakton Church of the Brethren received 28 cases of chicken. We distributed 16 cases to BNP, 4 cases to the Committee for Helping Others (CHO), 4 cases to The Lamb Center, and 4 cases to Cornerstones.
New Refrigerator and Freezer – September 2013
Through the fundraising efforts of Oakton Church of the Brethren, BNP received a new double-door refrigerator and a new double-door freezer! We raised almost $7000 to purchase two new units, as well as recycle several old and broken units.
BNP Work Day – June 2013
Several members of the Oakton Church of the Brethren congregation helped clean and restore aging BNP facilities. Projects included painting, spackling, food preparation, and general cleaning.
Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) Grant – May 2013
Oakton Church of the Brethren sponsored the cost of a BVS worker to support the BNP for three months. This allowed BNP to add another day of food service and build BNP stability.
