Please mark your calendar for Sunday, February 22nd for the Deacon Caregiver Luncheon. Please join us after church for an informal, no agenda lunch with the Deacons to get to know each other a little better. The Deacons will be providing a lunch of baked potatoes, chili, hot dogs, salad and ice cream.
Oakton Church of the Brethren’s Ash Wednesday service, “Recognizing Our Savior,” will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 10025 Courthouse Rd., Vienna, Va., where Courthouse Rd. intersects Rt. 123 near Oakton.

As we start the new year, we want to provide an opportunity to talk generally about outreach in a very informal atmosphere. To that end, all interested in existing outreach activities or starting a new outreach activity are invited to join the Action/Reflection Committee for happy hour at Famous Dave’s at 6:30 p.m..
Romans 12:1-2 encourages junior high youth who have completed grades 6-8 to take their everyday lives and place them before God as an offering. Youth and youth advisors are encouraged to take part in this weekend filled with worship, workshops, music, and recreation at Elizabethtown College, June 19-21. Early bird registration cost is $160 per person (participants and advisors) from January 9 through March 31. On and after April 1, registration is $185 per person.
