The process of developing core values should have been a process which pushed you all to the core of the Christian Way. What do we find at our core, who do we find at our core, Christ. The Church of the Brethren is a Christocentric denomination. Our center is Christ.  Maybe this is because we are such a relational denomination and Christ is one we can intimately connect to, listen to, or picture. Maybe the is because we are such a practical people and Jesus seems to give us some excellent models for living with practices like feetwashing, baptizing, and forgiving. Without Christ, our denomination loses that core, that center, out of which all of our ministry grows.  We produce good fruit because Christ is our core.
